About Pastor James Green
My name is James Green, I am the Founder and Pastor of New Visions of Hope Christian Center(a non-denominational ministry), and New Visions of Hope Outreach Center,
which is a (90) day faith based community residential housing facility for released inmates .Four of our beds are reserved for men in general. I am a 2000 graduate
of (ALSOM) Abundant Life School of Ministry, located in LaMarque, Texas where Walter Hallum is the Pastor. I have completed 286 hours prerequisite college hours of (LCDC)
Chemical Dependency Counselor for substance abuse counseling. I am a (TDCJ) Texas Department of Criminal Justice approved volunteer along with my wife.
My life was plagued with prison, no hope, alcohol, drugs, promiscuity, crime and violence. I was street poison by the age of (7), arrested for my first felony at (9),, by (14)
a heroin addict, and also high school drop out, by (17) a convicted felon serving a (2) year prison sentence. Three years later convicted at (20) served (6) years of a (12) year
sentence. I 've been out of prison for over (25), years. I decided there was more to life than prison and drugs, earned a GED, attained a vocational trade(electrical) and eventually
attained journeyman electrical license. Have worked for various petro-chemical companies along the Texas Gulf Coast as a Pipe Fitter Foreman and Pressure Vessel Fabricator Shop Foreman,
becoming the head and not the tail.
After being out of prison a year and half I was persuaded to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior by the bold witness of my wife who refused to marry me until I accepted Jesus.
Salvation totally revoltutionalized my life "nothing missing nothing broken". We also raised 2 daughters and a son together.
Raised in Dallas Texas by a mother and step father who neglected his parental duties which left me wounded for the next (20) years. Today I am living proof of GOD'S AMAZING GRACE, NOBODY BUT GOD GLORY!!!
My goal and objective is to re-orientale the instillation of HOPE to those whose opportunities has been destroyed, stolen, sold or simply just given away in exchange for drugs, alcoholism, sex, money, incarceration
or just plain "oh" NOTHING!!!. My purpose for living is to foster HOPE instead of HURT, opportunities that give rather than afflict PAIN, which encourage restoration to overcome any and all ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOR.
The primary method for one's total recovery is JESUS CHRIST.
